Joseph Toles, MS, is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Teacher, School Counselor and experienced Administrator. He is also a credentialed Educational Consultant with over eighteen years experience helping children and families in a variety of settings. He received his masters in education (sports psychology) from Brooklyn College in 1985, and he specializes in the comprehensive assessment of adolescent needs. He has experience in foster care / adoption, community based not-for-profit prevention programs, school based substance abuse prevention / intervention programs, homeless and runaway youth services and correctional education programs.

He is currently serving children and families in the Half Hollow Hills School District in Dix Hills, New York. In addition, he is the founder of TToles Consulting, a private counseling / consulting practice in Huntington, New York. He is an active member in HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association), AMHCA (American Mental Health Counselors Association), ASCA (American School Counselors Association) and NYMHCA (New York Mental Health Counselors Association).

Joseph spent his entire childhood in the New York State foster care system, holds one of the oldest New York State high school track and field records, received a full athletic scholarship to Auburn University, twice earned NCAA All-American honors and continues to be involved in sports as a high school coach. Joseph utilizes his professional and personal experience to present client service issues in a hands-on interactive manner.
